Book of Condolence in Memory of Mr Gary Vyse

In memory of Mr Vyse and the outstanding contribution he made to this community before his untimely death, the Hundred of Hoo Academy and Hoo St Werburgh Parish Church have come together to give an opportunity for all to share their memories and thanks. 

Whilst we will continue to give opportunity for flowers to be laid at the Academy, a book of condolence will be available to write in at Hoo St Werburgh Parish Church. For the next two weeks, pupils, parents, adults and community members will have the opportunity to access the book at the times outlined below:

- Wednesday 21 February 2.30-5pm
- Thursday 22 February 2.30-5pm
- Friday 23 February 2.30-5pm
- Saturday 24 February 10am-12pm
- Monday 26 February 2.30-5pm
- Tuesday 27 February 10am-12pm and 7-9pm
- Wednesday 28 February 10am-12pm
- Thursday 1 March 2.30-5pm
- Friday 2 March 2.30-5pm
- Saturday 3 March 10am-12pm

The Peninsula Choir held their first concert in church on Saturday 2nd December. It was a great success.

Remembrance

Over 200 people attended the Remembrance service this year. All the uniformed organisations were represented and three serving soldiers were also in attendance. As always, the Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial was particularly poignant for everyone.

2nd Hoo Brownies painted beautiful Remembrance stones to place around the war memorial at the service on Sunday. These have been collected up and placed inside the church. They will be on view in the church for a couple of weeks. Well done Brownies and thanks to Chris Comfort for the photos below:
